Hockey Bullshit
July 2, 2008:
This year's free agency is a real joke on the NHL....the players and their agents want to leave nothing on the table and are getting just that....the only answer is 4-on-4 hockey for the entire game to put supply and demand back in the hands of those running the game.

Last night's hockey game 5 of the Stanley Cup final was a classic example of the league pampering a losing franchise to keep it afloat....the officials did everything in their power to give Pittsburgh the advantage in overtime by calling boarderline penalties...finally in triple overtime when everyone was slowing down due to the longevity of the game, they called a 4 minute penalty to Detroit for Pittsburgh to take advantage of ....and unfortunately for Detroit they did.
The win gave Pittsburgh another home game and extra revenue to pay for their high priced players, which they would sorely need over the long haul.
This type of manipulation gave Pittsburgh Crosby in the 1st place and left the storied franchise of Montreal out in the cold.
I watched a Brian Burke interview and had to laugh at how people are warming up to him and his views....this guy is the biggest carpetbagger of all time.....he has absolutely nothing to offer and takes all he can get....all of this and he simply intimidates those who question his viewpoints.....he embraces players who use force and not finesse to play the game and calls it North American hockey???....Like Don Cherry this guy has become a master at going against the flow and tries to stand alone....If the Leafs hire him as GM he will make the fans of Toronto hard to deal with, as his arrogance will do nothing to enhance the success of the team.....and when he becomes a loser he will blame all others and not himself (indirectly, ofcourse)....Toronto needs a GM with ambassador qualities...someone like Bobby Orr who needs to be given a chance....leave Brian Burke with the American franchises, they deserve him....
