Me vs. GM's... A Rebuttal...

Now that the goalie is even more of a 3rd defenseman it's time to recognize this skill and entertain the fan more......it is even more important to implement 4-on-4 hockey to accommodate the increasing demand for the goalie to play the puck....nobody needs 3 defenseman on the ice anyway.....it causes a boring and too complicated game.......by having the goalie back there and only 4 skaters to keep the puck from being shot at him will allow him to go after the long shoot-in's even more.....or have the skaters carry the puck in more.......in either way making the game more safe and entertaining.......by having the goalie play the puck even more they may want to lose some of that equipment to be more mobile "VOLUNTARILY"........

The last OLYMICS showed MARTIN BRODEUR's skills in handling the puck and brought victory to his team because of it.....the fans loved it......the players played with more confidence because of it......MARTIN BRODEUR is not the pioneer in goalie puck movement.......but he has perfected it and is very entertaining....I bet his defensemen appreciate it as well......they don't have to turn their back to the play and go to the boards for that long icing call with the danger of injury as often for it......they can go to the offense quicker is what fans want to see anyway......their is more pros than cons for his actions and it is a safer game because of him....

Brodeur's skill in handling the puck tells the other team to try carrying the puck into the offensive zone more.....which is what fans want to see skill playes do more of anyway.......so why supress it???
